Welcome to the Department of Internal Medicine at Alfaisal University in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Internal medicine science represents the core knowledge for medical students and the future physicians. Our mission is to provide an exemplary student friendly learning environment for our students. The department contributes to many courses of the undergraduate curriculum, mainly Internal medicine and Subspecialty medical clerkships, as well as internships in internal medicine specialties. The courses are organized in close collaboration with King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (KFSHRC) and Security Forces Hospital. Faculty members contribute to other clerkships, as requested.

Our clinical teaching activities include but not limited to the following activities: Clinical morning daily rounds, bed side teaching, small group discussions, case presentations, hands on procedures, lectures, seminars, outpatient cessions, daily morning departmental meetings…etc.

As part of the vision of the COM and the department missions we motivate our students as well as the faculty members to be part of the research activities related to the internal medicine in accordance with the emerging hot topics both on the international and national aspects We look forward to a bright future, continuing and improving upon our tradition of high quality patient care, education, and research.
