Mr. Fouad F Jabri joined Alfaisal University in 2011 and currently serves as a lecturer of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at Alfaisal College of Medicine. Mr. Fouad has been awarded the ESME Certificate in Medical Education. His B.Sc. (Honours) in Pharmacy concentrated in Clinical & Hospital Pharmacy and M.P.H. (Honours) were earned at King Saud University (2005) and King Saud bin Abdulaziz University for Health Sciences (2011), respectively. He also holds a Post-Graduate Diploma in Epidemiology and Medical Statistics from Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine at UK.
Mr. Fouad is a licensed pharmacist in Saudi Arabia. His general interest is in the public health, community services and awareness programs. Recent themes in this direction include designing and conducting several public awareness campaigns. Other currently active research areas of interest include antimicrobial agents and bacterial resistance. His Master's Thesis was in the area of antimicrobial usage and MDRO in Intensive Care Units. In addition, he supervises several undergraduate student researches. He teaches courses in Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Community Medicine.
Mr. Fouad is currently a committee member in the Master of Public Health program that is being established at Alfaisal College of Medicine. He is a member in Alfaisal Bio-Statistical Consulting Group. This is a multidisciplinary group that works in research and spreading the know-how towards doing research. He is also a member of the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties and the International Association for Medical Education in Europe.
Dr. Mohammad Hasan Rajab
Dr. Rajab obtained his graduate degrees in quantitative genetics and statistics from Texas A&M University followed by post-doctoral studies at Johns Hopkins, Baltimore, Maryland, and Tufts University, School of Medicine, Boston, Massachusetts. He became interested in public health and obtained an Honor's Master's degree in Public Health (MPH) at Texas A&M School of Rural Public Health. Dr Rajab joined the faculty of Texas A&M College of Medicine where he became an Associate Professor of Psychiatry at the College of Medicine and Adjunct Associate Professor of Biostatistics and Epidemiology at The Texas A&M School of Rural Public Health, and the Director of the two Departments: Biostatistics and Outcomes and Effectiveness Research at Scott and White Healthcare and the Texas A&M Health Sciences Center, respectively. He was one of the founding faculty of the Texas A&M School of Rural Public Health, the only school of rural public health in the United States. In addition, Dr. Rajab served as the Vice Chair of the Faculty Committee at the Texas A&M College of Medicine. He also served on the Board of the American Health Maintenance Organization Research Network (HMORN), one of the largest medical research networks in the U.S. and on other international organizations including the International Society for Medical Simulation.
He joined Alfaisal University in February of 2009. He is currently the Chairman of the Department of Biostatistics and Epidemiology and the director of the Public Health Program at the College of Medicine. A primary research interest of Dr Rajab is in behavioral science (mind-body interrelationships), mainly relaxation techniques and suicidal behavior. Dr. Rajab and his team have published a book on the latter topic. Another major area of research interest is outcomes and effectiveness research, where Dr. Rajab and his team have published a new paradigm in effectiveness research. Other areas of interest include simulation in health education and public health. Dr. Rajab has received the National Hospital Pharmacy Quality Award and the Delta Omega Award for his work in Rural Public Health.
